When you need a truly unique package, allow Brimar to design a specialty box. Since Brimar is a custom specialty box manufacturer, your options are nearly endless.
Specialty boxes are custom boxes that are unique and attractive, yet functional. Brimar's collection of specialty boxes ranges from simple boxes that are great for holding industrial parts to fancy presentation kits. Most aspects of your specialty box will be machine produced. However, Brimar can hand finish almost any detail you require. Any of the paper used to make our other quality products can be used to make your specialty box. Your paper can be plain, theme, patterned, foil, or cloth. Custom graphics, such as a logo or photographic image, can be printed or foil stamped on any paper that is wrapped on a specialty box. Your options are endless, so ask your Brimar representative to explain all the options available. We will help you create the unique specialty box that will help your product sell better than you ever thought possible.
Graphics can make or break your specialty box. Add a simple, one-color line art logo or a vibrant, four-color photographic image to your specialty box. Brimar Packaging offers process printing, foil stamping, and embossing for your specialty box, inside and out. Plus varnish, aqueous, UV coatings, and film lamination can be added if needed. The options for your specialty box are limited only by your imagination.
Adding graphics will increase your product's value, communicate product information, establish brand recognition, convey marketing messages, and separate your product from your competitors'. Why settle for a plain "specialty box", when graphics can be added for a minimal charge to create a great "package"!
Chipboard is the base substrate we use to manufacturer your specialty boxes. Thicknesses range from 0.030" to 0.100". Ask your Brimar representative what thickness will work best for your specialty box. Knowing the weight of your product and how it will be packed in your specialty box will help determine the thickness of the chipboard used.
If chipboard is the skeleton for a specialty box, then the paper wrap is the skin. Your paper choices are endless. Your paper can be white, gloss or matte solid color, printed with a theme, or printed with a pattern. It can be flat or textured. It can even be a foil paper or cloth. Custom graphics, such as a logo or photographic image, can be printed or foil stamped on any paper or foil that is wrapped on a specialty box. When combining specialty papers with a variety graphics, you can create a unique appearance for your specialty box that will add value and distinction to your product line.
Designing specialty boxes is what Brimar does best. Since we are a custom manufacturer of specialty boxes, we are highly trained in the structural design of our products. Whether you're an ad agency with your own design staff or an inventor with little packaging knowledge, Brimar will help you decide which specialty box options best suit your needs.
Your corporate image and sales demographics, along with your sales outlets and your shipping methods are a few factors Brimar's highly trained staff will use to design your specialty box.
Custom samples need to be produced to ensure that you are comfortable with what you are buying. Will the specialty box being quoted be strong enough? Will your products be laid out correctly in your specialty box? These are a few questions that can easily be answered by creating a custom-made specialty box sample. Most of the time here will be a charge associated with a custom specialty box sample.
Perhaps an existing sample of a specialty box from our sample department will suffice. Since specialty boxes are so unique, samples may be limited. Existing specialty box samples will be sent out free of charge by UPS or FedEx Ground service.
Sample materials will always be sent out free of charge by UPS or FedEx Ground service. If you need to see available papers, foils, or board colors, then we would be glad to send you samples to help you decide what materials will be used to make your specialty box.
Shown below are only a few examples of unique specialty boxes. Since we are manufacturers of custom specialty boxes, ask your Brimar salesperson to explain all the options and styles available.
Adding a hinge can turn a standard set-up box into a presentation. There are several styles of hinges available.
Book boxes are a unique specialty box that allows your customer to store your product on a book shelf. A book box is made by gluing a tray into an actual book cover. Our book covers are high quality turned edge covers, just like you would find on an ordinary hardbound book. Ask your Brimar sales representative about the many options available with book boxes.
Neck boxes are three-piece specialty boxes where the lid and bottom do not telescope, or overlap. They "kiss" together or never touch each other. The inner neck, which can be a set-up tray, a glued sleeve, or a platform, is glued or friction-locked into the bottom of the specialty box. The inner neck's function is to guide and hold the lid in place when this specialty box is closed.
Shoulder boxes are three-piece specialty boxes, with a "shoulder" glued or friction-locked into the cover. Usually, the lid of a shoulder box is deeper than the bottom, and the shoulder prevents the bottom from pushing up into the lid.
Plain stay boxes are traditionally used as an inexpensive industrial parts box. This specialty box is a standard set-up box with the stay, or tape, on the corners left exposed. Dress up an inexpensive plain stay box by only wrapping the lid.
Brimar also offers slide boxes, or matchbook boxes.
There are many more styles of specialty boxes available from Brimar. Allow us to walk you through the options and create a unique specialty box just for you.
